A thick yarn with a soft texture

Textured nylon yarns are obtained by means of various twisting and heat-setting techniques; this leads to a crimped effect, making the yarn thicker and softer as well as giving it stretchiness and a varying ability to revert to its original shape.

The texturizing process of a nylon 6.6 yarn harnesses all the physical and thermoplastic properties of synthetic yarns.

A combination of thermal and mechanical techniques gives rise to a stretchy bulky yarn with good covering power.
