Flat yarn is obtained via a processing technique which achieves a plush feel and smoothness; this makes for garments with a fresh silkiness which retain, however, all the technical virtues and high-performance levels of nylon.

Flat yarn is often an excellent solution for LYCRA® fibre-covered yarns which are extremely lightweight, stretchy and endowed with high comfort levels and a second-skin sensation.
